Tal directed many plays as an Artistic Director of Red Monkey Theater Group in over 20 years. The Red Monkey group has performed at places like Larchmont Temple and Center Stage Playhouse in the Bronx, at the College of Mount Saint Vincent's Cahill Theater where they reside. Red Monkey also regularly tours the NYC metro area and performs at Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, NY. Over the years Tal directed and produced The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, adapted for the stage Sherlock Holmes from the story by Arthur Conan Doyle and William Shakespeare's "Hamlet". Aside from directing and adapting the plays, Tal also acts in the them. He recently played the titular role in "Hamlet and Sherlock Holmes and acted as Trigorin in The Seagull.
