Total Time: 2-5 hours to complete

Preparation: none

Instructions:

Step 1: Measure your bedroom or any other room in your home that you would like to redesign;

Step 2: Draw a basic floor plan of your bedroom or favorite room in the apartment with dimensions (meters or feet):
  • Illustrate a room layout;
  • Show the location of walls, windows, doors and more;
  • Include measurements, room name and sizes;
    How to make your perfect floor plan? A floor plan is a type of drawing that shows you the layout of a home or property from above.Floor plans typically illustrate the location of walls, windows, doors, and stairs, as well as fixed installations such as bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinetry, and appliances. Floor plans are usually drawn to scale and will indicate room types, room sizes, and wall lengths.

Step 3: If you'd like to do an advanced version of the exercise, you can also draw furniture layouts. You can illustrate furniture schematically, for example, using circles, squares, triangles or any other geometric figures that will represent certain pieces of furniture;

Step 4: Take a picture of your floor plan or scan it (you can scan it using a free app on your phone called Genius Scan). Upload the picture of your floor plan to Google Drive or OneDrive and include a link to it in the final quiz.
